I’m not usually a “try everything” kind of guy, but I’ve tried a bunch of different ways to estimate my projects over the years. Paper and pencil, spreadsheets, lots and lots of spreadsheets, even some construction software. I always end up coming back to my spreadsheets even though they don’t look that great.
